Spinning dreams with angel wings; burning down in the night.

You are not accidental. Existence needs you. Without you something will be missing in existence and nobody can replace it. That's what gives you dignity, that the whole existence will miss you. The stars and sun and moon, the trees and birds and earth - everything in the universe will feel a small place is vacant which cannot be filled by anybody except you.

To transform breakdowns into breakthroughs is the whole function of a human. Caught up in a collectivism society, one often forget the importance of individualism. It is the greatest adventure in life to go through a breakdown consciously. It is the greatest risk because there is no guarantee that the breakdown will become a breakthrough. It does become, but these things cannot be guaranteed.

When one sits on the beach, gazing at the beauty of the night sky. One knows that "home" is not a physical place in the outside world, but an inner quality of relaxation and acceptance. This lead us to question where do we stand. Are we on the side of of individualism or collectivism? Am I letting my talents shine based on individual performance.

"In cities of all developed countries, in New York, London, Tokyo; every person, orginally full of soul, life, taste and wit, is reduced to a working zombie. A zombie who lives to work and works to live. All focused with a perceived value of life. All too focused with a fake perceived value of life." Quoted from Diana.

We human beings tend to forget this, as we pursue our own private agendas and believe we must fight to get what we need. But ultimately, our sense of separateness is just an illusion, manufactured by the narrow preoccupations of the mind.

Now is the time to look at whether you are allowing yourself to receive the extraordinary gift of feeling "at "home" wherever you are. If you are, be sure to take time to savor it so it can deepen and remain with you. If on the other hand you've been feeling like the world is out to get you, it's time to take a break. Go outside tonight and look at the stars.

  1. In this collectivist society, are our agendas still considered 'private'? Or that our private agenda help to shape our society unconsciously?

When we achieve our agendas does it benefit more to ourself or our group? If the answer is the latter, it just means that one is more of a collectivist. However, anytime these agenda do not work out. We can halt, and check ourself if this group is for us. If it doesn't, we can leave the group and seek another group and work something new. If not, find back our individuality and work on it. Beacuse our individuality will make up the collectivie society somehow.

  2. Hi Vivian!
It's such a lovely post and you chose lovely pictures.

Interesting point of view - that instead of you needing existence, it's vice versa. Which I totally agree! Spiritually, we make a difference to the world by just being present.

We forget to be attune to the simple pleasures of life and get so caught up.

The world just has to stop and smell the flowers and enjoy the music. :)

  3. Hello Shawn!

Thanks for sharing your view! That's true we have to keep searching for what pushes us forward and surge ahead in life.

It's an on going search that we keep walking and walking.

  4. Life is pretty much like a cycle, isn't it? We work to seek our own existence, and our own existence seek to work. This continous cycle fails to let us enjoy what is around us. Yet, when this chicken-egg cycle becomes dysfunctional, we stop, only to check which process gone wrong, again, failing to enjoy the surroundings. Perhaps, when we stop and reflect on our existence, we must look at whats around us, because, that might define our existence too.

That is why some people take spiritual trips to the overseas, etc. To recall their own sense of individuality. =)
